Recently California Senator Barbara Boxer released a report shedding light on a critical issue that needs to be addressed – the alarming rate of preventable medical errors that occur each year in American hospitals. According to the report, between 210,000 and 480,000 individuals die each year as the result of medical mistakes. The new report addresses some of the common errors and the steps California hospitals have implemented to address these issues.
